Rose is a full partner in the business, including being in charge of all the “behind the scenes” coordination. She loves nature and is concerned with the Bay Area’s water quality. She wants to help raise awareness in the Bay area about the importance of keeping our bay’s water healthy. Our shared commitment to healthy ecosystems and clean water is behind our use of the most eco-friendly process possible for cleaning your trash and recycling bins.
We look forward to serving you and your family by being your trash can cleaners!
HOW IT WORKS
Our specialized cleaning truck will arrive at your location on the day of the cleaning. We load each bin onto the truck and position it over over the 360-degree pressure-washing heads. The bin is cleaned and sterilized with hot high-pressure water. We clean the outside of your bins with a pressure-washing wand. During the process, all water and debris is collected in our holding tank. The debris is filtered out and the water is recycled. No pollution goes into the storm drains or our oceans!

BIN CLEANING FAQs
How am I helping the environment by using your bin service?
Many people don’t realize that what goes into your neighborhood storm drain is not treated before it goes to our creeks, rivers, bay, and ocean. With our process, all water and debris is collected in our holding tank. The debris is filtered out and the water is recycled. No pollution goes into the storm drains!
Why should I clean my trash and recycle bins?
Those outdoor trash cans and recycle bins can get pretty disgusting. A dirty waste bin is probably the single most unhygienic item in the home, covered in grease, grime, and mildew. With the rise of separating waste for composting and recycling, most households now have several garbage and recycling bins and they are filthier — and smellier — than ever. This odor can attract pests including flies and rats. Plus you don’t want to start to smell your recycling and trash bins when you’re having a BBQ out back with friends or working on your car in the garage.
Let Bin Detailer get your outdoor garbage cans and recycling bin sparkling clean, and keep them clean all year round! We remove mold, fungi, viruses, and bacteria both in and on the bins.
I’ve never had my bins cleaned professionally before, what do I need to prepare beforehand?
Leave your empty bins out on the day or day after your collection and we’ll take care of the rest.
Do I need to be present while my bins are being serviced?
No. As long as we can access your bins, there shouldn’t be a problem.
When should the service be scheduled?
Cleaning is done on the day or the day after the garbage collection day.
Where should I place my bins?
Please leave your bins curbside after your trash is collected by your local trash hauler and we will take care of the rest. If you are scheduled for next day service and don’t want to leave them out overnight you can leave them up by your garage, the side of your house, or somewhere where we can have easy access to them without needing to walk inside an enclosure.
What makes your service environmentally friendly?
We use biodegradable cleaners and recycle all the water we use! You can feel good about helping protect the environment while getting sparkling clean bins.
If my bins require deep cleaning, what happens to that dirt and grime?
Once we remove the stuck-on waste, we place it in a Eco-Friendly or plastic bag which is then placed back into appropriate bin for your next collection day.
Why should I hire a professional to clean my bins?
Bin Detailer uses customized equipment to clean and sanitize your bins along with eco- friendly cleaning solutions with hot water and extreme high pressure power. Unsanitary bins are a major breeding ground for viruses and bacteria such as salmonella, listeria, E-Coli.
What type of soap do you use and do you use bleach?
We use eco-friendly cleaning & sanitary solutions that kills 99.9% of harmful bacteria, viruses, and eliminates bad odors. We never use bleach as this is a harmful solution that gets drained into the community’s storm drain.
Where does dirty water go when you’re cleaning the bins?
Our customized equipment is equipped with a separate tank that collects the contaminated or “gray” water. This water is disposed of at an approved treatment facility away from your home or business.
How am I helping the environment by using your bin service?
Many people don’t realize that what goes down your neighborhood storm drain is not treated before it goes to our Creeks, Rivers, Bay, and Ocean.
How often do I need to clean my bin?
This depends on your individual household or business needs as well as your location. For example, you may need to clean your bins on a monthly basis to prevent attracting wildlife, rodents, or roaches. Or, if you’re a restaurant owner and need to sanitize your bins for food health and safety purposes as well as controlling the nuisance of flies.
